Marietta home boasts French accents

"Our front door is made from Sapele wood and is copied after 19th century Provencal door," said Linda Mohan.

The living room chairs are vintage leather mid century modern. The bolster pillows that are resting on the leather chairs are made out of old flower sacks from France, said Linda Mohan.

Formal Sitting Room: "The center paining over fire place is a Todd Murphy painting. It was the first painting that we collected as a couple. We love this room because it holds our book collection," said owner Linda Mohan.

The sun room shelves hold a collection of French wire pieces. Owner Linda Mohan says she brings pieces from France each time she visits. The room has a chaise longue table that holds some of their favorite books. The is a great meeting area for the family, Mohan says.

"I love the (sun room) chandelier that was purchased at "C'est Moi" in Marietta," said Linda Mohan.

The kitchen concrete counters are mixed with stainless steel and a pot rack that is an old wrought iron hand rail from the front porch of an old home. The cabinets are hand made from regional cabinet maker Ed Wagner.

The kitchen features a concrete wine rack.

The vases next to breakfast nook are found bottles. Mohan likes the way the light playes off of them, and she thinks they work well against an old antique French lantern that was wired to work over the breakfast table. The banquette was custom made to fit into the space.

Regional cabinet maker Ed Wagner also made the picture frames for the children's art on the pantry doors, said Linda Mohan.

A wrought iron gate is used to accent the bed in the master bedroom, and a painting by the Mohan's son Quinn sits bedside, says Linda Mohan.

The marble under the sinks and on the center island in the master bathroom are Connemarra marble from Ireland, said Linda Mohan.
