A Georgia family that got the area's first luxury remodeling job from the television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has gone into foreclosure. Patricia and Milton Harper received more than $200,000 in addition to the makeover of their Lake City house in Clayton County that host Ty Pennington and his crew updated.

A Clayton County family that got the area's first luxury remodeling job from the television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has escaped foreclosure for the second time in eight months.

Over an intense six days in January 2005, Atlanta-based Beazer Homes USA and "Extreme Makeover" razed the Harpers' old home and built a showpiece in its place. Materials and labor were donated, but the home would have cost about $450,000 to construct.

According to a report, a foreclosure notice on the home appeared July 18, indicating that a $450,000 second mortgage the owners took out less than 15 months ago was in default. They worked out a deal with the bank the first time but defaulted again. The house was to be auctioned March 3, but the sale didn't happen.

The designers created a room for each of the couple's three sons to reflected his interests or personality.

The house has four fireplaces, a solarium, a music room and a covered porte-cochere that connects the main house to an office.

The TV show chose the Harpers for a home makeover from 15,000 applicants after learning about the family's defective septic tank. Every time it rained, the tank would spew raw sewage into the home.
