Shaquille O'Neal, former player for the Los Angeles Lakers, recently purchased another hefty piece of real estate in the metro area.

O'Neal, an analyst for TNT's "Inside the NBA," just dropped $1.15 million on an estate in McDonough, reports the Los Angeles Times .

The property features two homes, a three-stall barn with an attached workshop and a swimming pool on more than 14 acres. There is also a 12-seat theatre, game room and gym on the basement level.

The main house was built in 2008 and the property came on the market two years ago for $1.275 million. Check out images of the estate here .

O'Neal is no stranger to the metro area.

He has been a part-time Atlantan for 15 years since purchasing a condo in Buckhead. He has also owned a six-acre farm in Gwinnett County and  in a 2013 interview with the AJC's Jennifer Brett, he jokingly referred to himself as "the Lord of Lawrenceville."

Shaq remains a loyal customer and friend of Bruce Teilhaber, owner of Friedman's Shoes the metro area landmark which caters to men with large feet -- up to size 22.
