Is Shake Shack's new chicken sandwich competition for Chick-fil-A?

Jan 14, 2016

Atlanta, have you heard? Shake Shack is doing the bird.

On Jan. 14, the Chick'n Shack  swoops onto all U.S. Shake Shack menus. It costs $6.29.

Shake Shack Atlanta caused a big ruckus when it opened in the Shops Buckhead Atlanta at 3035 Peachtree Road NE, with lines wrapped around the block, and it remains one of the more popular spots in the mixed-use development.

Previously, the only chicken item on the menu was the chicken dog. The Chick’n Shack is 100 percent all-natural and antibiotic-free chicken breast with lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo.

The crispy chicken breast comes on the same potato roll as the classic ShackBurger.

And its arrival means Shake Shack will now offer a new condiment -- Louisiana hot sauce for us Southerners, no doubt.

Makes you wonder what Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A, the top chicken chain in the country, thinks of the newest bird in town...
