The Atlanta National College Fair is the largest free college fair in Georgia.
It returns to the Georgia International Convention Center (2000 Convention Center Concourse) on Sunday, March 19 from 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. The event is free, but there is a $5 parking fee at GICC.
This year, 273 colleges from across the country will take part in the event which provides counselors, students, and families advice and information about the college planning process. A series of workshops cover a range of college planning topics including selective admissions panel, understanding HBCUs in the 21st Century, athletic recruiting, schools for students with special needs and more.
Volunteer counselors are on hand to help students and parents learn more about scholarships and college planning. There are also testing resources for the ACT and SAT available on-site. Students planning to take a gap year, will gain insight on programs recognized by the American Gap Association. And staff from the Georgia Student Finance Commission staff will provide information on the FAFSA and HOPE scholarship.
