In one of those strange life imitating art sort of moments, Halle Berry's hairdo took on a starring role at the Oscars on Sunday.

While there were many standout moments in the show, Berry hit the red carpet with her hair in a mass of curls, which quickly prompted reactions on Twitter:

Berry's hair quickly earned its own Twitter account and continued to be a hot topic right alongside the best picture gaffe, Gary from Chicago, and a few other standout moments of the Oscar broadcast.

In the image below, her fluffy 'do appeared to block the view of one attendee, which is at least the second time Berry was responsible for such a crime. The first was as the character Nisi, in the 1997 film BAPS.

Fans of Berry will remember the film in which she starred as a waitress from Decatur, Georgia who wanted to open a combination soul food restaurant and hair salon. Berry and her partner in crime then got involved in a scheme to bilk an aging billionaire out of his money and were on their way to becoming BAP (Black American Princesses).

In one scene, Berry styles her friend's hair so high, that it causes some trouble on their flight to Beverly Hills:
