Despite appearances on television and in interviews, Erin Andrews has been depressed, anxious and insecure, according to her father Steven Andrews.

The revelation about the former Atlantan, sports reporter and host of Dancing with the Stars, came yesterday during the trial for the $75 million lawsuit Andrews filed against the hotel where eight years ago she was filmed changing clothes.

"She's afraid. She's afraid of crowds, afraid of people. She doesn't trust anymore," said Steven Andrews to the jury as reported by the Associated Press .

Also named in the lawsuit is Michael David Barrett, the man who did the filming. Barrett was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2009.

Andrews' father went on to tell the jury that his daughter had always been insecure about her body because she was so tall and skinny. So having images of her body show up in a video on the internet is "the worst thing that could have happened to her from the perspective of self-pride, comfort in the way you look," said Steven Andrews.

Last week, in an interview with the AJC, Andrews shared that she loved to eat and had gained 15 pounds when she began her sports reporting career .

The trial is expected to last two weeks.
