In the business of retail, brands are nothing without loyal customers.

More than 20 years ago, Atlanta native, Dr. Roblena Walker, strolled into New York & Company and purchased a pair of white-washed boot cut jeans. After that she was hooked.

Now the specialty retailer is showing how much they appreciate women like Walker who have been loyal to the brand for decades.

While the brand has had success with celebrity inspired collections -- most notably, a collaboration with actress, Eva Mendes, which launched in 2013 -- they are now looking at their customers for inspiration.

A series of customer-inspired capsule collections are part of the new #IAmNYandCO campaign. The collections draw on the personal style of select customers by offering clothing that supports the brand's dedication to empowering women.

The first collection is inspired by Walker, a research scientist and public health professor turned stylist. Walker stars in the advertising campaign for the nine piece collection and she styled each of the looks that appears in the campaign.

“The thing I love most about this brand is that the pieces are more than just clothes - it's a way of life. I am New York & Company,” said Walker in a statement. “When I slip on a beautiful dress and statement necklace, I can conquer any obstacle I may encounter. More importantly, I immediately obtain a huge boost in confidence that further positions me to empower other women.”

The Walker inspired collection is available now, online and in select Atlanta stores. The four dresses in the collection range from about $80 - $100. Separates start at about $55.

In celebration of the collection, New York & Company is hosting in-store launch parties for Walker at the following New York & Company locations in the metro area:
