2017 HGTV Dream Home on St. Simons Island takes shape with Atlanta designer Brian Patrick Flynn
If Spanish moss, palm trees and waterfront property sound like your idea of a dream home, the 2017 HGTV Dream Home is made for you. This year's dream house -- which is awarded to the winner of a sweepstakes -- is located on St. Simon's Island.
The 3,200 square feet, three-bedroom, three-bathroom home will be transformed from a nineties-era escape to a modern Southern style farmhouse suited for coastal living.
Atlanta designer Brian Patrick Flynn is planning a palette of browns grays and deep greens with subdued blues for the Southern transitional style home.
He says we can expect to see lots of European lines in the furniture mixed with some rustic textures.
The sweepstakes opens Dec. 28.

This is the second HGTV Dream Home located in the state. The first was another waterfront property built in 2004 in St. Mary's Georgia.
