The much anticipated "Karate Kid" TV series called "Cobra Kai" on YouTube shot in metro Atlanta will come out on May 2. The official trailer came out today.

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprise their roles as Danny LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, respectively. Three decades-plus have passed since the original film.

Daniel, selling cars, is living an enviable life with his family in the affluent hills of Encino. Meanwhile, Johnny’s life has taken a rocky turn as he seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo. Their lives inevitably become intertwined and the rivalry is reignited, setting forth the next generation of karate kids.

Gen X nostalgia buffs? Game on! (I did a set visit a few months back and interviewed both Macchio and Zabka. I'll post that story next month before the show's debut.)
