The last time I did a status check on TV shows shot in Atlanta in August, 2013, there were 52 productions that aired last year or were in production.

The number six months months later?

It's a little smaller at 49 but still much higher than two or three years ago. Eight are brand new shows debuting in upcoming months.

The number of non-scripted shows has fallen off, from 33 to 24. The number of scripted shows are up to 25 from 19.

This compilation does not include news (e.g. HLN/CNN/The Weather Channel) and sports programming (e.g. Fox Sports South, NBA on TNT). It also doesn’t feature shows that merely shoot audition episodes here on occasion (”American Idol,” “America’s Got Talent,” “So You Think You Can Dance”) or pop in on occasion (AMC's "The Pitch" shot footage for an episode here.) I also excluded shows outside of metro Atlanta, including AMC's "Small Town Security" in Ringgold and TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" in McIntyre. I also excluded a few shows that shoot occasionally here because they have some cast members who live here e.g. WE-TV's "SWV Revisited" and "Braxton Family Values" and TLC's upcoming "Women of Homicide" debuting April 9.

Two TV pilots for the 2014-15 are being shot here as well: Fox's "Red Band Society" and NBC's "Constantine." I will add them to the list only if they get cleared to become series, which we typically learn in May.

Shows definitely not coming back

Bravo's "The Kandi Factory." Ratings didn't make the grade.

Lifetime's "Double Divas." One season, in two parts last year, and out. Again, ratings lagged.

USA's 'Necessary Roughness." It was cancelled after three seasons.

Lifetime's "Catering Wars Atlanta." Not moving on after a four-episode test run last year.

Discovery's "Auction Kings." I mentioned this last August but decided to include it again. It aired for four seasons and ended its run last  year.

Possibly or probably dead

Bravo's "The New Atlanta." Ratings were less than impressive. Bravo says no decision has been made yet but  I'd be surprised if they kept it around.

TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids." On "hiatus." Given that the original show is still going in the same location, this could actually mean a break, rather than permanent cancellation. We shall see.

Discovery Fit & Health "Secret Sex Lives: Swingers." It's probably dead but I'll give it a little time before I officially declare it dead.

CBS's "The American Baking Competition" One season aired last summer. No sign it's coming back..

Bravo's "I Dream of NeNe." This was meant to be a one-off spinoff about her getting remarried but I'm sure Bravo is open to other spinoff ideas with NeNe so this is merely a formality
