"Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta" has not aired a new episode on TLC since February, its longest break since the show debuted in 2010.
The reason? TLC has given the show a break but has not officially cancelled the show, said a TLC spokeswoman, who had no information why the break is happening. She also didn't know if it will come back or when it will come back.
Lori Allen, who runs Bridals by Lori in Atlanta, said she was told the show is "on rest," which is more or less the same thing. It has been about a year since they last taped in her shop.
Lately, TLC has been airing "Dateline" crime stories on Friday nights instead of wedding-themed shows as it has for years. (The original "Say Yes to the Dress" will be back in January.)
Allen has kept busy, continuing to run her bridal operations, renovating the store and doing speeches about breast cancer. She has recovered from breast cancer herself. TLC aired a special focused on her recovery in 2014.
She is grateful TLC has taped nine seasons, plus four more of a "Bridesmaids" spin-off. So even if it's over for good, "I knew it would come to an end someday," she said. "Nothing is forever."
