Although "Mama June" Shannon is denying she is dating a convicted child molester on Facebook, the network that airs "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" isn't buying it, according to TMZ.
TLC has decided to cancel the show after four seasons and 51 episodes. TMZ says there are some episodes in the can that will not air.
I received this statement from TLC, confirming the news TMZ reported:
"TLC has cancelled the series HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."
TMZ in a later story said TLC had enough evidence that she was dating the man despite her denials. And the story gets even more sordid: TMZ reported even later Friday that the child McDaniel allegedly molested was none other than Anna Cardwell, June's oldest daughter who is now 20 years old. And early Saturday morning, TMZ provided more photo proof of McDaniel and June together house hunting in Hampton last month, hand in hand.
The show's ratings were off their peak, averaging around 1.4 million overnight viewers earlier this year from 1.8 million season three.
June broke up with her long-time boyfriend Sugar Bear (real name David Michael Thompson) earlier this year.
