The transmitter for the alternative rock station The Other Side of the River was damaged earlier this month after an ice storm so the station hasn't been available on the 97.7 FM signal.
Steve Craig, who oversees the station, said he isn't sure when it will be repaired but it's still available streaming on line, on the 97.1 HD3 channel if you have an HD radio and on the TuneIn and IHeart radio apps.
He said a 1,000-foot transmission line was iced and ruptured. They are awaiting parts and it would then take two days to lay the new cable down.
The sister station to classic hits 97.1/The River has been around since 2012 and runs the gamut of alternative rock from the 1970s to today, going far deeper than most radio stations of its ilk. The core of its playlist is from the 1990s 99X era. (Craig was mid-day host at 99X during its glory days.)

The modest 97.7 signal is mostly heard in the Northeast sector of metro Atlanta.
