Swish!

Starz has renewed Atlanta-based comedy "Survivor's Remorse" for a third season just two episodes into season two.

Ratings hit a series high this past Saturday with 1.34 million same-day viewers.

The show, currently paired with Patrick Stewart's new comedy "Blunt Talk," features an Atlanta basketball player Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher) who just signed a huge contract and moves his family to a beautiful Buckhead mansion. LeBron James is an executive producer and it's loosely based on his life.

"My heart skipped a beat and I was driving," texted Erica Ash, who grew up in Decatur and plays Cam's feisty sister M-Chuck. "I screamed a little and just kept saying, 'Thank you Baby Jesus!' "

RonReaco Lee, who plays Cam's manager and cousin, emailed this reaction and this is someone who has been in the business a good three decades so he knows what he's talking about:

"We are thrilled to renew 'Survivor's Remorse' for a third season, " said Carmi Zlotnik, Managing Director of Starz in a press release. "Since it began, the critics instantly embraced the show, and now we've seen its fans grow season over season. This all-star creative team, led expertly by Mike O'Malley, boldly tackles the most topical of issues with heart and humor as the Calloway family deals with 'pro-money and pro-problems' off the basketball court. We are very happy and proud to have them return to STARZ for another season."
