Fitz's exes have teamed up once again.

On the upcoming episode of "Scandal" titled "The Candidate," Olivia gives in and decides to help Mellie win over the hearts of the American people and eventually secure the Oval Office.

Step one involves a tell-all book.

Mellie has written a book to help the American people gain a better understanding of who she is.

There's just one problem, according to Olivia.

The book doesn't delve into why Mellie stuck by her husband after discovering that he was having an affair with Olivia.

"When you discovered that Fitz had taken up with a mistress, you pretended not to know about it and you stayed," she says. "Why? That chapter is missing. And that chapter is what the American people want to read. It's what I want to read. It's all anyone wants to read."

Mellie seems understandably unprepared to have this discussion with her ex-husband's former mistress.

Olivia reminds the senator that she knew what she signed up for when she recruited her.

"You asked for Olivia Pope, you got Olivia Pope," she says.

Will Olivia and Mellie's working relationship end as quickly as it began? Will Olivia continue to have sex with Jake now that she knows what he's done to regain power and become the head of the NSA?

Scandal" airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. on ABC.
