Hillary Clinton just got a presidential endorsement in Atlanta. Sort of.
Tony Goldwyn, the actor who portrays President Fitzgerald Grant on ABC's drama "Scandal," appeared at Hillary Clinton's new Georgia campaign headquarters to speak with potential volunteers and Clinton supporters on Aug. 21.
Goldwyn ran through the list of reasons why he's supporting Clinton in what he called "the most critical election of [his] lifetime" in a nearly 20 minute speech outside of the house that now serves as Clinton's first campaign office in Georgia.
Following his speech, Goldwyn told the AJC that he's always been vocal about his political and social beliefs, but the public interest in his role on "Scandal" has increased the ways in which he is able to use his voice.
"I've always been, for the past 20 years, a social advocate of things, but I'd never been involved in a political campaign," he said.
Watch as Goldwyn, who portrays a Republican on "Scandal," lists the reasons why he believes Clinton should be the next president of the United States in our Facebook Live video below:
And, yes, Goldwyn said "Scandal" has already begun filming for season six.
