Next month, Lifetime is airing its seventh edition of "Project Runway All Stars" with three Altanta residents on the cast of 16. It's also the first time they are mixing newbie "All Star" participants with veteran "All Star" designers.
The official launch date hasn't been officially released yet.
Alyssa Milano, Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman return as judges. Zanna Roberts Rassi returns as the designers' mentor.
Three designers are from Atlanta:
- Edmond Newton, season 14, third place (Read my recent "catching up with Edmond Newton" piece)
- Anthony Williams, season 7, fifth place; season 1 All Stars, ninth place
- Ken Laurence, season 12, eighth place; season 5 All Stars, third place
Of course, "All Stars" isn't the same as the original because of the familiarity with the contestants and no Tim Gunn or Heidi Klum. But challenges and structure are similar.
