"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes has plunked down a $750,000 down payment for a $2,0750,000 million mansion at the lush gated community Sugarloaf Country Club. (TMZ broke the story.)
The sale officially closed on Feb. 27. The U.K. Daily Mail said she took out a $1,324,000 million loan. The property had been on sale since last August with a $2.2 million asking price.
The mansion, at 9,511 square feet, has six bedrooms and seven baths. It's new construction with the following description:
Mediterranean Costal Villa w/gorgeous golf views from the upper level master suite plus plenty of privacy & highly sought-after walkout level pool. Glass doors & casement windows across back offer full views of pool & wrap around covered porch. Homes in that area go for between $500,000 and $6 million. She'll have access to a 27-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course, three private lakes and 14 tennis courts, plus an Olympic competition swimming pool.

She has since had acting roles on TV ("The New Normal," "Glee") and Broadway ("Cinderella.") And she has her own clothing line on HSN.
