Mitch Evans, a former night host for 92.9/The Game for three and a half years until 2016, has nabbed a part-time job at IHeartMedia and its 24/7 Georgia News Network as a sports anchor and writer.

During the current college football season, Evans provided breaking news coverage and Facebook Live updates for Cox Media Group's SEC Country.

Evans over the years has also worked at former sports talk station 790/The Zone, now defunct rock station 92.9/Dave FM, Comcast, 99X and news/talk 640/WGST. IHeartMedia owns WGST as well as 94.9/The Bull, Alt 105.7, Power 96.1, 105.3/El Patron and 92.3/96.7 The Beat.
