Michael Baisden's syndicated show, which Kiss 104.1 aired for about a year in the afternoons, is no  longer on the R&B station as of Monday, November 27.

The Miami resident joined Kiss as an affiliate about a year ago after a lengthy hiatus from radio.

He and fellow syndicated host  Tom Joyner lost their spots on Kiss today.

Sasha the Diva takes over the 3 to 7 p.m. slot after airing from 9 to noon. Art Terrell and Roy Wood Jr., who had been on from noon to 3 p.m., are now part of the Morning Groove from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., taking over for Joyner.

From 2005 to 2013, Baisden was a popular nationally syndicated afternoon host in the afternoons on more than 70 R&B stations nationwide at his peak, including Majic 107.5/97.5 locally. Based in Dallas, he combined social activism with relationship talk.

Then in 2013, he and his syndicator (Atlanta-based Cumulus Media) got into a conflict over a new contract and he was gone, no explanation given by either side. He later sued Cumulus for breach of contract but the two sides settled.

Kiss 104.1 and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution are both part of Cox Media Group.
