HBO's "Watchmen" drama pilot starring Don Johnson, Lou Gossett Jr. and Regina King is shooting in metro Atlanta.

"Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof is in charge of this pilot. His last HBO project was "The Leftovers."

This show is based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' limited comic series of the same name. According to Deadline.com, it's "considered a dark satirical and dystopian take on the superhero genre. Set in an alternate history where 'superheroes' are treated as outlaws, 'Watchmen' embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own."

Adelaide Clemens, who was part of Sundance's well-received "Rectify" in metro Atlanta for three seasons, is also part of the cast.
