Fox’s “The Resident” has been renewed for a third season.

The medical drama, which is shot in metro Atlanta and frequently uses the High Museum exterior as the fictional Chastain Park Memorial hospital, has been a consistent performer for the network.

Counting on demand and DVR usage, “The Resident” averages 11 million viewers a week, according to Fox. (The 2018 average for the show featuring just live and DVR usage up to a week was about 7.2 million.)

The Monday night drama's cast includes Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp and Malcolm-Jamal Warner and often focuses on the tension between profit and care.

Fox’s even more popular “9-1-1” drama is also getting a third season.
