Want to meet Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer?

She stars as a nurse in a new Fox show "Red Band Society," shot in Atlanta and set to debut in the fall.  There's a free screening on Thursday, July 10, at Atlantic Station Regal Cinema starting at 7 p.m. There will be a Q&A with the cast after the screening.

The drama, set in a Los Angeles hospital pediatric ward, is an unconventional coming-of-age dramedy about a group of unlikely and rule-bending friends and the adults who mentor them through the ups and downs of adolescence. As Fox is touting the show, it is about "exploring everything from strong friendships, and first loves, to humorous mishaps and heartbreaks, the series is a story of life, with an edgy comedic tone all its own."

The fact Fox is holding these screenings nationwide shows how confident they have a hit on their hands. The teens are mostly unknowns. If you were a fan of "Brothers and Sisters," actor Dave Annable plays a doctor.

Regal Cinema is at 261 19th St. NW in Atlantic Station.

The show debuts on Fox Wednesday Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. after "Hell's Kitchen."

Here's the trailer to the show:
