Lisa Rayam, a former Fox 5 anchor who has been working at Georgia Public Broadcasting the past two years, is moving over to become the local morning host for 90.1/WABE-FM.

She takes over for Denis O'Hayer, a former 11Alive broadcaster who retired over the summer.

Rayam worked at Fox 5 from 1994 until she left in 2016. She then worked for GPB as a Capitol Correspondent for its "Lawmakers" show and did some freelance work with News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB.

She officially joins WABE December 10 and will take over morning reins in the early 2019.

The station recently named Jim Burress to become afternoon host, replacing Amy Kiley.

WABE is still seeking a news editor. John Haas, who held that position from 2014 until September, moved to become director of cross-platform content strategy. (Check out the WABE job openings here.)
