Did Atlanta's Aaron Gibson & Darby Walker make 'The Voice' top 12?

"The Voice" felt rushed tonight as they squeezed 20 performances and eight eliminations into two hours.

But the producers did give the singers nearly two minutes each  to sing their songs while completely nixing comments from the coaches. That was actually a good thing because at this stage, the coaches seldom say anything remotely useful or negative. And since the coaches already get to "coach" them behind the scenes, they don't really need to dispense advice during the live portion like judges did on "American Idol."

Shockingly, they even finished with time to spare and forced Adam Levine to vamp a bit.

I'm not sure if either Darby Walker or Aaron Gibson are destined to win but both singers with Atlanta ties made it into the top 12.

Gibson, who still lives here, was voted in by the public on Team Miley Cyrus after performing the Counting Crows' 1994 hit "Round Here." Miley, who clearly loves Darby, picked her over two others after she did yet another quirky 1968 song "Those Were the Days" by Mary Hopkin with all the quirk baked in.

Miley's commentary before they performed:

On Darby, who grew up in Atlanta but now lives in L.A.: "Darby is so cool. I couldn't go into the live without Darby. We are very similar. We have a lot of personality. Her voice is so unique. She's going to be an influential and an amazing person to have in the music industry."

On Aaron: "Aaron has blossomed more than anybody else in this competition. He has just opened up so much. He's like a different Aaron. I love Aaron so much because he'll always send me a voice memo of what he's learning on the guitar. He's willing to do the work."
