"Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member Cynthia Bailey recently had a tumor removed from her back.

According to Us magazine, Bailey noticed a lump in her back a couple of months ago that she thought was just body fat but it kept growing. A doctor told her it was lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes. "I was scared because as soon as I heard the word 'tumor,' I immediately thought cancer," she told Us.

Earlier this week, a surgeon fully removed the tumor, which was larger than expected. Good news was that it was benign.

"Grateful surgery went well this morning & was so happy my mom was there with me," she wrote on Instagram two days ago without going into detail why she was in the hospital.
