Donald Trump is definitely causing some liberals to go low.

A few days after Kathy Griffin's decapitation photo and video of Trump caused a firestorm, CNN host Reza Aslan said this about the president and his Tweets regarding the latest London attacks: "This piece of s--- is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He's an embarrassment to humankind."

Aslan, who hosts a show about religion on CNN called "Believer," later deleted the Tweet and apologized:

CNN both distanced itself from Aslan, noting he's not technically their employee but merely a host of a series commissioned to air on the network. Then again, they could potentially cancel his TV show if they choose. Here's their statement:

“Reza Aslan is not a CNN employee, but does host a series on the network. We are pleased that he has apologized for his tweets. That kind of discourse is never appropriate.”
