BET, riding off the success of 2017's "The New Edition Story" miniseries, is working on another one focused on the group's most successful (and notorious) member: Bobby Brown.

"The Bobby Brown Story" has begun production in Atlanta, where Brown lived for a time while married to Whitney Houston. (It's where the couple were located when Bravo's infamous "Being Bobby Brown" reality series aired in 2005.) Gabrielle Dennis ("Rosewood") will play Houston.

It is going to cover Brown's time as a solo artist, his various off-stage antics and his marriage and divorce to Houston.

The two-night biopic series is set to air this fall.

Brown last year tried and failed to stop the release of a TV One unauthorized biopic about his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who died in 2015 much like her mom did three years earlier in a bathtub.
