The dopiest movie series a network has ever embraced is "Sharknado." Syfy, tongue firmly in cheek, calls it "the most important event of 2015."

The shark attacks get wilder and crazier and are now covering Florida to New York. The New York Post has listed all the celebrity cameos here, including Ann Coulter, Mark Cuban, Bill Engvall, David Hasselhoff and Jery Springer.

Personally, I've tried to get through the first two films and failed to get to the end of either. I may try yet again because, well, why not? It's not as if there is anything else to watch, right?

This 20-second promo is probably all you'll need to know:

If that isn't cheesy enough for you, VH1 brings back "Dating Naked" Wednesday. Or on Saturday, there's Science's "Race to Escape," which plays off the "escape room" trend in game show format with Jimmy Pardo as a host.

More seriously, E! launches its reality show "I am Cait" Sunday focused on the gender shift of Bruce to Caitlyn Jenner.

And if that isn't enough for you, Ryan Seacrest and other celebrities will be knocking on strangers' doors to give them prizes on "Knock Knock Live," a risky new Fox show Tuesday.

A couple of shows are finishing their summer seasons already, including USA's 'Royal Pines" Tuesday and Fox's "Wayward Pines" Thursday.
