As expected, Atlanta designer and former HGTV personality Vern Yip will be returning as part of the cast of TLC's newly revamped version of the groundbreaking series "Trading Spaces" in 2018.

Former Grant Park denizen Ty Pennington, who made a name for himself with ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is back as well.

Even better news: parts of the show will be shot in Atlanta as well as Baltimore and southern California.

TLC released a video featuring Yip, Pennington, Paige Davis, Doug Wilson, Carter Oosterhouse, Hildi Santo-Thomas and Genevieve Gorder. For many of the designers, it's been a decade-long absence from working with each other.

"I am really really excited about getting back into people's homes and showing people how to make their homes a real reflection of who they are," Yip said in the video.

Joining these familiar faces are new design experts and carpenters Brett Tutor, Joanie Sprague, John Gidding, Kahi Lee and Sabrina Soto.

The concept remains the same: re-doing a neighbor's room using a modest budget and limited time.

Since "Trading Spaces," Yip has hosted several of his own shows on HGTV, written books and runs his own line of furniture and accessories.
