Jon Mero of Atlanta survived the knockout rounds on Monday night on "The Voice" to make it to the playoffs.
The pop/R&B singer sang "Blame it on the Boogie" by the Jacksons. He was given a bit of short shrift last night, placed in a "montage" situation but at least the producers played about 40 seconds of his song. (His rival got zero airtime.)
Mero remains on Team Adam Levine and is in good position to make it to the top 12 and the live shows.

Atlanta's Kenya Freeman is in the finals of "Project Runway," which for the first time ever given five designers a shot to create collections for Fashion Week. The judges couldn't cut anybody from a very talented cast.
They left Kenya last on the runway after letting the other four in. It was clear Kenya wasn't clear what was going to happen next but then entered the green room with the other four designers and waited a moment before saying she was in.
The judges have largely liked Freeman's work to date but she has yet to win a challenge. And it's clear that they are loving Brandon Kee and his street vibe so much, this competition is really his to lose. And Ayana lfe has been on the rise lately, too, and is in the best position to beat Brandon.
But Freeman's overall performance has been stronger than either that of Margarita Alvarez or Kentaro Kameyama. So don't count her out. The first part of a two-part finale airs this Thursday at 9 p.m. for a special two-hour episode. The runway show will likely air next week and a winner announced.
During the final challenge, each designer had to create a high-end winter look.
For Kenya, the feedback was mostly positive. They especially liked the coat and found it "wearable."

Zac Posen: "It's obviously a fun textile. Her coat has some attitude. To me, I'm not as sure about the styling of it. I think you could have brought it more high fashion. I think the tailoring and the fit on her is pretty excellent. Her legs look great. The only issue with the look is the blouse to the tweed to the pants doesn't all sit together."
Heidi Klum: "As a total look, I'm not, 'Whoa! What is that!' " She is not thrilled by the way the pants made her torso look too tiny.
Nina Garcia: "This girl feels very downtown, very cool. She's way too cool for the outfit underneath. And underneath is so sophisticated and uptown. It could have done with something more classic." (She later said she "choked" on this challenge but liked her overall.)
"It has been years of struggle and sacrifice and knowing how things are going to work," Kenya said, tearfully, in pleading her case to go to Fashion Week. "Am I going to pay rent or buy fabric? It would just mean everything to me."
The judges seemed to like Kentaro's and Brandon's outfits more than the other three.
Brandon would pick Kentaro and Ayana to compete with. Kentaro would take Brandon and Ayana. Kenya would select Brandon and Ayana as well. Margarita would choose Brandon and Kentaro. Ayana would go for Kenya and Brandon. So Brandon got selected by every other designer! (No votes for Margarita!)
In the end, the judges couldn't eliminate any of the finalists- not even Margarita.
Ultimately, only three of the five collections will show at Fashion Week.
She is the third Atlantan to make it to the finals after only the recently deceased Mychael Knight season three and Edmond Newton from season 14.

Desiree Wiliams of Atlanta has survived into the seventh episode of "Survivor," which airs Wednesday and will likely feature a merge and individual immunity challenges from here on in.
The former pageant winner is part of the original Healers group and has managed to stay out of target range, even after they mixed up the groups. Her airtime has been limited to date, which doesn't necessarily mean anything good or bad at this stage of the game.
She has been to Tribal Council only once out of six challenges to date and she helped eliminate football player Alan Ball.
The seventh episode airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
