Variety broke the news that Atlanta actress Priah Ferguson, a break-out star on "Stranger Things," has been upped to a regular cast member for season four.

She had a small guest role as Caleb's sassy sister Erica season two but feedback was so positive, they gave her far more to do season three in a recurring role. She helped Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) Steve (Joe Keery) Robin (Maya Hawke) discover the Russian operations below the Starcourt Mall. And she again stole every scene she was in.

None of the original main characters were from Atlanta though plenty of secondary characters have been. Priah is the first of those secondary characters to get promoted to regular status.

The show, which recently shot in Lithuania, is readying production of season four in Atlanta.

A trailer just came out indicating that David Harbour's Chief Jim Hopper survived whatever happened at the end of season 3 in the Russian lab and is suck in some gulag in Russia.
