Weekend anchor Kim Passoth signed off from CBS46 Sunday night after three-plus years with the station.

She will be returning to her hometown of Los Angeles to work for Spectrum News, according to CBS46 news director Steve Doerr. Charter cable is launching a new 24/7 news operation in Los Angeles.

Passoth was hired in 2015 to be a mid-day anchor and reporter but in 2016 was moved to weekend anchoring (with some mid-week reporting).

She had originally been hired to replace Jocelyn Connell, coming from a station in Oklahoma City.

Kai Beech, who joined the station as a multi-media reporter in 2016, has left as well. Doerr said he's going to Palm Springs, Calif. to anchor.
