Fox 5 has named Alyse Eady as its newest member of the "Good Day Atlanta" team after the departure of Gurvir Dhindsa in April. She will start in late August.

Eady recently left an anchoring job in Little Rock at the CBS affiliate KTHV-TV, where she worked for four years. On social media, she revealed last week she was coming to Atlanta as an anchor without specifying where.

That led to a round of speculation where she would land. There were three openings: Erin Coleman's afternoon slot at Channel 2 Action News, Lisa Rayam's mid-day and afternoon anchoring post at Fox 5 and Dhindsa's spot on "Good Day Atlanta."

Here's her 2014 demo reel:

Previously, Eady was Miss Arkansas and named first runner up representing the state in the 2011 Miss America pageant. Her talent was singing ventriloquism and involved yodeling. (I am not kidding. Watch below.)

Dhindsa left in late April after five years in her second stint at Fox 5 without any explicit explanation and has not commented publicly about her departure.

Her last social media note was on Twitter:
