It's that time of year when broadcast networks are making their final calls for shows to renew and shows to cancel and new shows to bring to the table.

I will focus on the ABC shows with local ties first, then get to others.

First, the bad news:

ABC's mystery/sci-fi show "Resurrection," which was shot around metro Atlanta including Norcross masquerading as downtown Arcadia, Missouri has been cancelled after two seasons and 21 episodes.  Deadline.com broke the story.

It struggled last fall in its second season after a strong start in the spring of 2013.  It was up against "The Walking Dead" for much of its run Sunday nights last fall and couldn't compete.

Also, an ABC pilot shot here "Kingmakers" didn't make the cut.

(Two other Atlanta-produced shows that debuted last year: Fox's "The Red Band Society" and NBC's "Constantine" are also unlikely to be picked up for sophomore years.)

This is balanced by good news:

ABC has greenlit "Quantico." The pilot was shot locally and the presumption is the network will keep it here.

The premise: FBI recruits going through training at Quantico, Va., including someone who will eventually embark on a terrorist act on U.S. soil. Among the actors: Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra and Jake McLaughlin.

The producers are Josh Safran ("Gossip Girl," "Smash") and Mark Gordon ("Criminal Minds," "Grey's Anatomy")

Here's the list from Deadline.com of all the ABC shows cleared for renewal. "Last Man Standing" should make it but is still in talks. "Cristela" and "Forever" were also cancelled, along with "The Taste."
