Zac Brown Band fans know that the Atlanta-based musicians are relentless road warriors.

But they also have new recorded music ready to roll.

ZBB will release their sixth studio album, "The Owl," on Sept. 20 (pre-order here). The first single, "Leaving Love Behind," is available now on all streaming platforms (hear it below). The song is the band's first new release since November 2018, with "Someone I Used to Know."

“The Owl” is named for ZBB’s affection for the lore surrounding the great horned owl, which can see perfectly at night and is considered a reliable guide. The album will delve into a personal side of the band, while taking some musical risks. In addition to their usual impressive vocal arrangements, the band is exploring different sounds by working with producers including Skrillex, Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder.

“The Owl” is ZBB’s first studio release since 2017’s “Welcome Home.”

The band played Atlanta last summer with a massive show at SunTrust Park, and also joined in the Super Bowl week festivities with a special concert at the Tabernacle that included an appearance from pal Dave Grohl.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
