For the 12th consecutive year, Atlanta rapper Tip "T.I." Harris will host a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway for seniors in need.

At noon on Wednesday, T.I. – along with family members, friends and other Atlanta representatives - will visit the Adamsville Recreation Center in Atlanta to hand out hundreds of turkeys and healthy side dishes including greens, apples, carrots and peppers.

The event is being produced under T.I.’s new non-profit organization, Harris Community Works, which aims to “empower and elevate the community through education, awareness and opportunity.” The non-profit intends to work with private and community partners to motivate change through economic development, neighborhood revitalization and support services and programs for distressed communities.

The seniors chosen as recipients of T.I.’s Thanksgiving gift are pre-identified through a citywide selection with civic agencies and partners.
