Tupac Shakur would have turned 45 today, and a birthday remembrance comes in the form of the first trailer for “All Eyez on Me,” the biopic of the revered rapper due later this year.

In the clip, Shakur’s late mother Afeni, played by “Walking Dead” star Danai Gurira, is heard whispering intensely, “They are going to give you the tools that you need to destroy yourself...so above all else, to thine own self, be true.”

The movie, directed by Benny "Boom" Douglas and shot largely in Shakur's sometime-home of Atlanta with scenes filmed in Midtown, downtown and Douglasville, stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as the rapper – and he's a worthy doppelganger with his muscled torso and soulful eyes.

"All Eyez on Me" will arrive in theaters Nov. 11, two months after the 20th anniversary of Shakur's death.
