Bye, bye Billy Joel and hello, Prince.

The SiriusXM rotating specialty channel (30), which had returned to the Billy Joel Channel throughout April, has become The Prince Channel.

Along with featuring music from Prince’s catalog, takeovers by Sheila E. and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and the recent “Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince Town Hall,” the channel will spotlight a true rarity – the radio show Prince created for Sirius Satellite Radio in 2005.

Premiering at 7 p.m. May 1, the two-hour-plus show features interviews, a look into his audio vault and unreleased studio and live performances.

As reported earlier this week, SiriusXM has extended its free streaming through May 31 and also added a slew of artist-specific channels on the SiriusXM app.
