Many in the Atlanta rap community took to social media to express condolences over the death of  Shawty Lo, who was killed overnight in a car crash .

The rapper, known for his hit "Dey Know" and the 2006 charttopper "Laffy Taffy" with his Atlanta group D4L, was known as the "King of Bankhead." He was 40.
