For the past decade-plus, Ed Roland has gathered some musician pals to perform for charity.
This year, Roland's "Winter Wonder Bash" moves from its longstanding home of Eddie's Attic to the larger Buckhead Theatre and will feature Emerson Hart from Tonic and Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra. Jeff Dauler, of "The Jeff and Jenn Show" on Star 94.1, will host.
The show will take place on Dec. 21, with all proceeds benefiting the TJ Martell Foundation. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
Roland is also gearing up for a new release with Collective Soul – well, two, actually. The band has a new studio album, "Blood," coming in early 2018. But on Dec. 8, the group's fiery performances will receive the spotlight with "Collective Soul Live," the first live offering from the Atlanta-based rockers.
Along with their numerous No. 1 hits, including "Shine," "The World I Know" and "December," the 18-song collection features the bonus track, "Right as Rain," which the band performed at its September appearance at Music Midtown.
Fans who pre-order the live release on iTunes will receive an instant download of "Shine." As well, those who pre-order via PledgeMusic will also receive instant access to live versions of "Shine" and "Right as Rain," which you can hear below.
The busy Roland also recently released "Alder Lane Farm," his second album with side band The Sweet Tea Project.
