When Earth, Wind & Fire visits Cadence Amphitheatre at Chastain Park on July 24, students from the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children will have the opportunity to spend some time with the band.

Philip Bailey’s Music is Unity Foundation is hosting a “Backstage Soundcheck” tour experience at 4 p.m. the day of the concert, and has partnered with the MAAC. Students (ages 17-21) will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of concert preparations, attend soundcheck and experience a Q&A session with Bailey and others on the tour.

The tour experience is designed to develop students’ interest in careers in the music industry; previous events have been held in Atlantic City and Phoenix, and another will take place at the band’s tour stop in Sacramento, Calif., this fall.

Tickets to the concert are currently available via livenation.com; a percentage of ticket sales will benefit Music is Unity.
