If you’re a save-the-date type, mark the calendar for Sept. 17-18.

That’s when Music Midtown will take place at Piedmont Park.

It's a slight change from years past , being held over a full weekend, rather than Friday evening and all day Saturday.

Live Nation Atlanta president Peter Conlon said it’s a change he’s been mulling the past couple of years since getting people to come out on a Friday night has been a challenge.

“Friday just hasn’t worked,” he said. “It’s hard for people to get out of work, go home, turn around and go out to a festival.”

The change will mean two full days of music for fans.

Stay tuned for information about the lineup, which will be announced later this month.
