You can catch performances here from several artists including COIN, Zara Larsson and Hiss Golden Messenger.

Hiss Golden Messenger

Hiss Golden Messenger, a country-rock band, based in Durham, N.C., got music lovers clapping, snapping their fingers and dancing Saturday with music featuring a wide range of elements –  folk, bluegrass, country.

Chris McDaniel was on the job selling beer early Sunday afternoon but he couldn't help but stop and take a break to enjoy this band. He stood on his cooler and danced to some sweet sounds of summer.

"I had never heard of Hiss Golden Messenger, and they are so great," said McDaniel. "This is what I love about the festival, allows you discover great new music."

We agree.

COIN

COIN, an indie pop band which just formed just a few years ago out of Nashville, Tenn., gave a fun, poppy, upbeat performance. You might remember their hit "Talk Too Much" which last summer's ubiquitous radio hit.

On Sunday, the band seemed to delight in the crowd of fans singing along to their growing number of hits, a sign of their rising popularity.

Lead vocalist Chase Lawrence, with a flop of curly hair and thin frame, danced around the stage and kept the crowd energized from start to finish.

Zara Larsson

Zara Maria Larsson, a Swedish popstar, drew a massive crowd and delivered a strong performance. She sounded fabulous. She looked stunning in a long white dress with cute animal designs. And she can dance. She talked to the crowd, pointing to a few young music goers at the very front of the crowd she recognized from a hotel elevator (the group of young people had commented they thought they had just seen Zara Larsson). She told the group, yes, it was her,  and she was glad they made it to show. She comes across as personable and sweet.

Larsson first gained national fame for winning the 2008 season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of America’s Got Talent when she was just 10 years old. Now, 19, she's working on building her U.S. fan base, which certainly grew at Piedmont Park.

Joywave

Joywave, an indie rock band out of upstate New York, a place they still call home, this relatively new band has enjoyed alternative success with singles,  “Somebody New” and “How Do You Feel Now?”
