Motley Crue returns to touring with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett

Stadium tour comes to SunTrust Park in August

Motley Crue is back from the land of faux farewell tours.

The “Dr. Feelgood” rockers – who in 2015 announced an official end to touring with a supposed legal document that they destroyed last month – will team with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts for a stadium tour.

The bands will hit SunTrust Park on Aug. 9. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 13 via www.livenation.com. A pre-sale for Citi cardholders is available from 10 a.m. Dec. 10 through 10 p.m. Dec. 12 (check www.citientertainment.com for details).

Motley Crue last played Atlanta in August 2015. Def Leppard, a frequent presence in Atlanta, performed at SunTrust Park with Journey in summer 2018, the same year Poison took the stage in Alpharetta.

The inclusion of Jett is a boon for fans, as she will also play the Shaky Knees Music Festival, May 1-3 in Atlanta’s Central Park.
