[Update: Meat Loaf is reportedly doing well in a Canadian hospital and is expected to be released soon. His collapse was blamed on dehydration.]

Big-voiced singer Meat Loaf collapsed on stage during a concert Thursday night in Edmonton, Alberta, and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Fan-shot video shows the singer, 68, singing his 1993 anthem "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" before slowly falling to the floor. His backing musicians continued to play for a few seconds, apparently not realizing what was happening, before a guitarist and crew member rushed to his side.

Concertgoers at the Jubilee Auditorium were asked to vacate the venue.

Meat Loaf had postponed two concerts in Canada earlier this week due to illness.
