[I'm on with my rock 'n' roll pal Kaedy Kiely at 97.1 The River every Wednesday at 6:50 and 7:50 a.m. to talk about the latest music news. Tune in to hear what's up!]

Lynyrd Skynyrd fans planning to attend the Nov. 12 celebration of the band’s music will have the opportunity to become part of the evening in a more personal way.

Fans are encouraged to create three-minute videos of their favorite Skynyrd moments. For the clips to qualify for contention in the DVD recording and/or TV broadcast of the show, three steps must be followed (yes, you will need to “Gimme Three Steps” to apply).

  1. Create a video no longer than three minutes and upload it to YouTube.
  2. Complete the entry form at http://celebrateskynyrd.com/myskynyrd and click "Submit You Entry Now." Be sure to include the link to your YouTube video and your section/row/seat number from your tickets to the show.
  3. Share your video on Facebook with your friends to get votes. The more votes increase your chance of being upgraded to V.I.P. seats.

Of the entries, 10 will be selected for inclusion on the DVD and/or TV broadcast (date TBA). One contestant will have the opportunity for their seats to get upgraded to VIP level.

The concert, which will take place at the Fox Theatre, boasts a lineup of Alabama, Gregg Allman, Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, Cheap Trick, John Hiatt, Jason Isbell, Robert Randolph, Donnie Van Zandt, Blackberry Smoke, Trace Adkins, Warren Haynes, Jamey Johnson, moe., Gov't Mule, Randy Houser, O.A.R., Al Kooper and Aaron Lewis. Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform as well.

As with the Gregg Allman tribute show earlier this year at the Fox, the great Don Was will serve as music director and lead a band that will include guitar maestro Steve Lukather.

Also similar to the Allman production, Keith Wortman is the creator and executive producer of the event, which is being filmed for multi-platform distribution.

A final block of tickets in all prices ranges ($72-$222) has been released and can be purchased at the Fox box office, at www.foxtheatre.org or by calling 1-855-285-8499.
