Janet Jackson had some not-very-merry news for fans on Christmas Eve – she’s postponing her Unbreakable tour until the spring because of required surgery.

Jackson broke the news on her website with a message that said she "must have surgery soon" and asked for prayers. She added that there would be "no further comment" and ended the post with "Gon' b alright."

Jackson had a March 3 date scheduled at Philips Arena.

According to her post, all tour dates will be rescheduled and fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets.

The March appearance would have been Jackson's second concert in Atlanta in six months; she performed at Chastain Park Amphitheatre during the first round of dates to support her "Unbreakable" album, which arrived Oct. 2.

Jackson launched the tour in Vancouver in August. It was scheduled to resume Jan. 9 in Denver and last through June.
