The Atlanta love for Janelle Monae has prompted a second date at the Tabernacle this summer.

Monae, who drops her long-awaited third solo album, “Dirty Computer,” on Friday, will perform at the venue at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4-5.

Tickets are $59.50 (reserved balcony) and $39.50 (general admission/standing room floor) and will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 2 via www.ticketmaster.com and by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Kansas native Monae launched her career in Atlanta under the tutelage of Big Boi and has since broadened her career with successful acting forays ("Hidden Figures," "Moonlight").

Monae previewed "Dirty Computer" with a series of videos for "Make Me Feel," "Django Jane," "Pynk" and (below) "I Like That." Her 27-date tour to support the album kicks off June 11 in Seattle and will wrap with the Atlanta shows.
